my kiddos

Sometimes as a photographer you work so much capturing others you don't get to capture your own. So today I "made" time. We went to Mooresville and we went to the studio. My children enjoyed a 4 hour session. :) You know they loved it. Just as much as your kids love it. hehehehe. So here are some from our session today. If you want to see whole session just go the website...client proofing and type in christykey. They should be up tomorrow (Thanksgiving). You will see my Noah and Sophie. Thanks for looking and I hope each and everyone of you have a Wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. I know I am blessed beyond measure and I feel God has blessed me more than anyone else as I am sure you feel. Hug those babies and feel all the love on Thanksgiving.

Don't they just look overjoyed here? Noah come on...

one beautiful family

I don't know we can say so much for the day. :) It was sunny and somewhat warm before I went to their session. When I got there is was cloudy and freezing. So we made this session very quick, but we got some beautiful portraits. This family made it easy peasy. :) These little princesses were perfect. They finally got cold and who could blame them... So here are a few from our session. I think mom you are going to have very hard time....get ready.

you gonna miss this

I know as moms and dads life gets to us. Days are hard sometimes. The fighting...the crying, at least with my kids it is.
This song makes me cry everytime I hear it. I am crying as I write this. Time goes so fast with our little ones. I tell all of you when I do your newborn sessions that it just seemed like my kids were that little and it does. Like yesterday. Now they are 10 and 8. Someone told me the other day that in 2 weeks Sophie would be getting married....that is how time flies. That just makes me cry. I just want them to stay little forever and hold them tight. That is another reason photography is so important.

This next song I think is just really interesting. I love how they go from black and white to color. I know he is really country, but just listen to the meaning and watch the video.

Yay! Sneak Peeks!

Wow, we are so busy here at Simplicity. We are in the height of the Christmas Season. Thanks to all of you who are being so patient and we are working as fast as we can. One thing I can say is I have some beautiful children and families! Your cards and portraits are just great this year! So here are some sneak peeks for all of you who are waiting. ;)

Who can resist this face? OMGoodness how cute!

This is one special family. They have waited a long time and have been on a long journey to have these 2 miracles. With Miss S take special notice of the Cross behind her. "I Prayed for this child" is what it says...and truly they did.

You all know I have a hat thing going on. I cannot resist a baby in a hat. Mr. H is not exception. His mom really wanted a shot of him in his hat.

Okay so Prince W here is one you all should know if you look really hard. There are clues in the portraits. On my invitation to the Open House he was the newborn laying on the bed with the initials. So here he is on the same bed at 4 months. How handsome is he?

Noah Won A Photography Competition!

We are so proud of him! Noah, who is 10, is part of 4-H. He has to complete 2 projects each year for 4-H. He decided to try photography. Tuesday I had a newborn session so I sent him to his aunts house which lives on a farm. I also let him borrow my first dslr camera (rebel). I gave him some pointers on photography like composition, etc. He took alot of pictures, but this one was wonderful! I know some probably thought I helped him take the picture, but I didn't. I think I may have a budding photographer on my hands....what do you think?

When I picked Noah up yesterday from 4-H he was smiling from ear to ear and beaming light! So was his mom! I am so proud of him. He won 1st place in the "The World That I See". This is the local contest so now he goes to county. WhooHoo!

more sneak peeks :)

Wow! This time of year is the busiest season for me. The end of the year sessions before the leaves all disappear....trying to get sneak peeks up...ordering all of your Christmas Orders and proofing all your orders so you can order Christmas Portraits. I love Christmas. Today I saw a commercial for Disney where if you purchase 4 days you get 3 days free. OH! How tempting is that?! Last year right after Christmas we went to Disney and it just does not seem like it has been a year! I have been ready to go back about 3 months after we returned. So much fun! BUT, the ultimate place would be Bora Bora. One day Lynn and I are going there. We have been married for 15 years so maybe for our 20 years we can go. Google Bora Bora. It is unreal!

Okay so back to what I was doing. :) Here are a bunch of sneak peeks. Some beautiful families here. Enjoy!

Just in time for Christmas! Little Mister A!

Princess AG was just precious and is she not the cutest little girl! For all of you that have been to my studio....she is the little girl with the birthday hat and the cake all over her face. Too cute!

Balloons are so much fun and Mr.H thought so too. He is 1 already. His grandparents came in for a visit and we photographed them with Mr.H. He loves them so much. Can't you tell? :)

a beautiful family

I was invited out to this breathtaking farm for a session with this beautiful family. I made a great friend while I was there with Mister P here. We were singing Itsy Bitsy Spider and then he would say "Do it again"! We has so much fun! Here are a few from our session. Thank you so much for inviting me out.

I love Urban Sessions!

Mr. T was so much fun. Would you just look at that face he is giving me! Too funny!
Downtown Huntsville is a great place to go for sessions. You get all the great textures and colors. Just a whole different vibe to your portraits. They scream fun! So here are a few from my last baby plan session with Mr. T. Wow how fast he has grown!
